Lambing Sunday:
Sunday 14th March 2010, 11am - 4pm
Bicton Home Farm, Animal Centre and Garden open to the public for this popular annual event on Mothering Sunday.
Come along between 11am and 4pm, there is even more to see and do this year at this great family day out.
Take a tractor and trailer ride from Bicton College around the estate to the farm. You can watch BBC's Lambing Live and then come to Home Farm and watch lambs being born for real. Meet the Bicton Babies - calves, lambs and piglets and you may even be lucky enough to see a lamb being born.

Bicton Home Farm
Meet Farmer Paul, as seen in the CITV series Farm Camp* - Paul and Bicton's shepherd Phil will be on-hand helping our own mother's to deliver their babies. We are expecting quadruplets, triplets, twins and singles this year. Be the first to meet the new arrivals and bottle feed them with milk.
You can also bottle feed our calves, say hello to our gorgeous pink piglets and watch afternoon milking.
Hot food and beverages will be available on the farm, including Bicton Burgers, hotdogs, tea, coffee and hot chocolate.

With a array of texture and colour, artist Gill Burbidge and her team of local craftspeople will be offering demonstrations with opportunities for you to have-a-go and purchase wool, fleece, flowers items.

Come and say hello to our kune kune pigs, chickens, goats and more in their new home within the walled garden.
Fun at the Fair
If you are looking for more animal capers, visit the main hall where our animal care students will be hosting an array of games and quizzes in aid of their chosen charity.
Meet the Bicton Bugs, with hissing cockroaches from Madagascar, giant stick insects, land snails and giant millipedes.

Ray Mears has become recognised throughout the world as being an authority on the subject of Bushcraft and Survival and he will be telling of his adventures in our Speaker Theatre and will be available for a book signing later in the day!
