As a Train to Gain provider, Bicton College offers training and support to employers with the aim of improving necessary business and technical skills required to meet the needs of your organisation. We also provide free impartial, independent skills advice and training needs analysis similar to the service offered by the national brokers.
Fully funded Train to Gain is available to people aged 19 or over, not already qualified at full Level 2 (such as 5 GCSEs, A levels etc) and who are currently in employment.
Additional flexibility within Train to Gain can provide fully funded training at full Level 2 (equivalent to 5 GCSEs) for employees, even if they already have qualifications at this level, and more funding for training to full Level 3 (equivalent to 2 A-levels).
Extra support and flexibility is available for SMEs with fewer than 250 employees and funding is available for bite-sized chunks of training as well as full vocational qualifications.
Training and assessment are designed to suit your business; training may be delivered at the workplace or at the College and for any qualifications that require workplace assessment an allocated assessor from the college will for the purpose of assisting and supporting your employee undertake regular visits. Training can start at any time of the year.
A contribution to wage costs is usually available to companies with 50 employees or fewer. This might cover the costs of employees being away from their workplace while they complete their training. In many instances, businesses will pay nothing for the training delivered.
