Gamekeeping and Wildlife Management has a significant impact on the rural economy and landscape in the South West. The industries are served by a number of dedicated individuals that have a real passion for their work.
This is a highly practical programme. Hours are often long and unsociable but the job is rewarding for those interested in country life and all aspects of game management. Learners will be expected to work alongside practising gamekeepers to gain much of their training. All aspects of lowland game keeping will be experienced.
This apprenticeship programme aims to develop the practical expertise and background knowledge required to establish a career in the gamekeeping industry.

• Monitoring game populations and their natural habitat

pprentices may progress towards a Level 3 course or a full-time programme where appropriate. Career opportunities extend to Beat Keeper or Under Keeper.
