Course Duration:1 Year (Part Time)
It is possible to study certain units of the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Horse Management programme on a part-time basis. The Subsidiary Diploma in Horse Management offers a part-time opportunity to study at Level 3 by completing 6 units, rather than the 18 required when taking the Extended Diploma.
Entry Requirements
It is essential that your Initial Assessment results show that you are working towards Level 2. You will also need to have achieved one of the following:

4 GCSEs at grades A–C, including English, Maths and Science
•
GNVQ Intermediate
•
NVQ Level 2
•
BTEC First Diploma
•
City and Guilds National Certificate or equivalent
What You Will Study
Any six units can be taken from the Extended Diploma route depending on interest. This can be discussed at the time of interview.
All students carry out weekend duties, but it is not compulsary for this programme, however it would benefit individuals who would ike to learn how to care for horses on a busy yard and run events as part of work experience.
Any riding at the College is subject to a satisfactory riding assessment.
