The College reserves the right to cancel courses without prior notice if there are insufficient bookings or for other operational reasons. Where possible an alternative course will be offered.

Examinations

Learner Support

Business or Leisure?

We offer courses for business purposes B and courses for leisure L. Business courses are those designed to give you training to improve your work related skills – either work you are currently doing to enhance your career prospects, to enable you to develop work on a self employed basis or if you are looking for a career change. Many of our foundation degrees F are also available as a part time course, offering you the flexibility and convenience to combine your study with family or work commitments.

Any courses suitable for businesses will display a B symbol, courses suitable for leisure will display L, and foundation degrees will display F.

There are over 100 part time courses to choose from. You can study at a number of locations across Devon. Many of our part time courses do not require formal qualifications, just motivation and enthusiasm.
Help with the costs

If you are in receipt of means tested benefits, or are a dependant of someone who is, you may be entitled to a reduced fee. Not all courses are entitled to a reduction so double-check in the column title RF (Reduced Fee). It may say N/A, meaning that a reduced fee is not applicable to this course, or there may be a figure in the box. This figure is the amount that you will pay when you enrol on the course. It includes compulsory costs, such as exam fees and a deposit. This deposit will be refunded on successful completion of the qualification. There may be additional costs for materials depending of the nature of your course. It may be possible to pay by instalments.

For more information and advice please contact Nick Nicholls on 01395 562347 or email: mgnicholls@bicton.ac.uk .
