NPTC Tractor Driving and Handling (Adults) MO1-1A

This is a practical course for those with little or no previous tractor and machine handling experience. It runs for a 3-day minimum, dependent on experience. The course concludes with the completion of the National Proficiency Test Council Test of Competence in Tractor Driving and Handling MO1 / 1a.  

Course includes:

  • Health and Safety at Work Act
  • Tractor controls
  • Safe handling techniques of tractor and equipment
  • Daily maintenance checks
  • Brakes and braking
  • Hitching and unhitching trailed equipment
  • Manoeuvring with and without trailers
  • Hitching and unhitching mounted and PTO equipment
  • Operating hydraulics and use of fore-end loaders.
