The course is structured to build and enhance aspects achieved on Level 2 and also develops new areas of design, structures and techniques. Our aim is for you to feel confident enough to be able to complete a wide range of individual floristry requests presented by customers of a floristry shop. Course Content A course to inspire you from a wide range of sources, from international styles to period study · Start to create your own design style and identity · Explore additional business opportunity areas within floristry · Trial and utilise the latest techniques and skills · Practice and perfect workmanship · Become more daring, innovative and experimental · Increase your product knowledge Each unit has an assignment (written and practical) and at the end of the course there is a short answer written test covering the main five units.
Entry Requirements:
National Certificate in Floristry Level 2; or · NVQ level 2; or · BTEC First Diploma in Floristry or equivalent
Progression:
Society of Floristry Exams Levels 4 and 5, or Higher Diploma in Floristry Students will need to provide a work box and flowers, foliage and sundries each week costing between £10 and £20. Guidance and advice will be given on utilising garden produced material. We also have a florist shop at Bicton where students may purchase tools, flowers, foliage and sundries.
