Agriculture Apprentice (dairy)
Nutcombe Farm are seeking a motivated and passionate individual who is looking to build a career in the agriculture industry. This specifically relates to the dairy route.
The successful candidate will be involved with all aspects of the farm, with the main duties being:
- Checking livestock and reporting back any problems
- Helping to rear calves as and when needed (calving takes place all year round)
- Field and tractor work
- Help to maintain the farm machinery and equipment
- Basic yard work
- Working with cows and calves
- Establishing and upholding appropriate animal health and welfare conditions
- Providing feed, water and accommodation
- Monitoring health and wellbeing
- Assisting with animal movement
- Milking and taking care of parlour hygiene
- Operating and maintaining equipment to support livestock
- Agricultural skills and work routines
