Ideal if:

You wish to go on to work in and manage rural and farm business enterprises, develop the skills and confidence to run your own business or progress to higher education.

You’ll need:

Five GCSEs at grade C or 5, including English and maths.

You’ll learn:

About business management; finance; marketing; personnel and commerce, as well as aspects of running traditional and non-traditional rural enterprises for example farm, equine, artisan food, holiday and leisure, post office or countryside retail outlets.

Expect:

To run your own enterprise, work alongside a business mentor and learn in applied and dynamic ways.  Assessment includes both coursework and exams.

You’ll love:

Working on case studies, having the opportunity to run your own business and studying in the wonderful environment at Bicton College.

You’ll go on to:

Employment or self-employment in one of many established rural related businesses, to set-up your own business or progress to university level study at Bicton College, Duchy College or elsewhere.
