Ideal if:

You have a keen interest in the equine industry and wish to progress into a horse related job role.

You’ll need:

4 GCSE's at grade D or above in Maths, English and Science.

To be able to ride in walk, trot and canter, possibly having done some jumping and to have had regular contact with horses.

Equipment

  • Riding hat
  • Riding boots
  • Yard boots e.g. wellies
  • Jodphurs
  • Chaps
  • Wet weather gear
  • Body protector needed for jumping and hacking rough

Uniform is available.

Expect:

To undertake 1 week's work experience. Support will be provided to gain a placement once settled at the college.

You’ll go on to:

  • Progress onto Level 3 work based or technical certificate.
  • Apprenticeships at Level 3 within the industry
  • Groom/rider - able to exercise and care for horses under some supervision
