The Level 2 Work Based Diploma in Horse Care is an introduction into the horse industry for those who was a professional career with emphasis on the practical abilities.

You have a keen interest in the equine industry and wish to progress into a horse related job role.
4 GCSE's at grade D or above in Maths, English and Science.
To be able to ride in walk, trot and canter, possibly having done some jumping and to have had regular contact with horses.
- Riding hat
- Riding boots
- Yard boots e.g. wellies
- Wet weather gear
- Body protector needed for jumping and hacking rough
Uniform is available.
To undertake 1 week's work experience. Support will be provided to gain a placement once settled at the college.
- Progress onto Level 3 work based or technical certificate.
- Apprenticeships at Level 3 within the industry
- Groom/rider - able to exercise and care for horses under some supervision
