You are looking for a basic gardening course designed to give you the opportunity to improve a range of gardening skills. Whether you are a complete novice or have some gardening knowledge this is for you.
To be prepared to work outdoors in most weathers.
Alongside a range of practical skills such as ground preparation, watering, planting and sowing you’ll gain an understanding of the principles of growing and other methods of environmentally-friendly food production such as no-dig gardening, planting beneficial crops and biological pest management.
There is no written work, only practicals and you’ll complete a range of assessments during the course. This may include: Ground preparation, mulching, watering, and planting out from a container, seed sowing in containers, seed sowing and propagation methods.
