This qualification will provide you with the basic knowledge and skills needed for electrical installation. It is suitable for those with little to no prior knowledge of this subject and is a great starting point if you are looking to go on to a level 2 qualification.
This qualification is also suitable for those wanting to progress into engineering and building services qualifications and will give you the opportunity to practice and be assessed in a secure environment on the basic installation of cables and wiring systems.
On completion of this level 1 course, you won’t be an electrician but it will allow progression to further study.

You will need English and maths GCSEs at grade 3 or above. We will also work with you to improve these grades to 4/5 so you may progress on to a Level 2 qualification.
