This is a work-based learning qualification that enables you to work as a site supervisor in the construction industry. As a site supervisor, you will plan work activities and resources, co-ordinate and organise work, implement communications systems and control work progress on a construction site against agreed programmes.
This qualification is ideal for you if you work in the construction industry and are required to supervise the day to day running of a construction site. There are six pathways available which allow you to specialise in different areas depending on your job role.

You are in employment undertaking management duties in the construction industry and you're over the age of 18.
You must hold a Level 3 qualification in construction, this can be from a variety of trade backgrounds.
The course is completed by demonstrating competence in the workplace by compiling an electronic portfolio. You will be assigned an Assessor who will undertake site visits to check progress and give support and guidance.
You will be required to attend portfolio sessions occasionally in the college, these sessions usually take place once a term on a Thursday, 9 – 4.30 pm.
You will produce an electronic portfolio of evidence and in addition will be assessed by your allocated Assessor in your workplace.

Most Candidates undertake this qualification alongside an HNC in Construction or progress to the HNC after successful completion. You could also progress to the Level 6 NVQ Diploma in Construction Site Management with a suitable provider.
