The course is for students who wish to develop the skills required in the use of a computer aided drawing package and wish to obtain the City & Guilds Level 2 qualification in Computer-Aided Draughting with Autocad. The course is delivered by the use of the AutoCAD software programme.
You wish to obtain the City & Guilds Level 2 qualification in Computer-Aided Draughting with Autocad.
There are no formal entry requirements other than the ability to use a computer and Windows based software.
The course assumes limited or no previous knowledge and instructs you in the uses of the following commands:
- Draw - Line, Arc, Circles, Polygon etc.
- Display - Zoom, Pan, Viewports etc.
- Edit - Move, Copy, Fillet, Array, Mirror, Scale etc.
- Settings - Grid, Snap, Limits, Linetypes, Colour, UCS etc.
- Additional Commands - Dimensioning, Text, Blocks, Attribute Definition, Save, Inquiry, Plotting
To complete two assessed drawings over the period of the course, followed by an on-line multi-choice test set by City and Guilds.
That this course is delivered by the use of the AutoCAD software programme and you're able to work at your own speed with the assistance of the lecturer.
You will have the opportunity to progress to the 2D and the 3D Level 3 qualifications.
