We offer courses for a wide range of learners; from those needing some extra support, those with learning difficulties, or those who simply want to spend some time developing core skills. Our courses are designed to focus on developing skills that can be used in any vocational area and enable you to try out numerous career paths before committing to a specific vocational course.
You want your next step to be into work and know what you want to do, but need some help getting there.
To be working towards a minimum of Entry 3 English and Entry 3 maths (Level 1) or Level 1 English and Level 1 maths (Level 2). You’ll also need to be committed to undertaking a work placement or some form of work-related activity.
Core employability skills through activities that develop your communication and team work. You will also improve your English and mathematics.
An extended work related programme, including work experience to support you in building and practicing your employability skills.
The opportunity to develop your skills through an ‘on the job’ work placement or enterprise activities.
An apprenticeship, voluntary or paid employment or further study within the college.
