To ensure you gain all the skills needed for a career in the barbering industry, you will need to start your studies at Level 2. On successful completion you can go into employment or continue your studies at Level 3.

Throughout your studies you will learn by completing practical activities and assessments based on professional real-life scenarios in our Koko commercial training salons.

You wish to pursue a career in the barbering industry.
GCSE English and maths at grade 3, or an equivalent qualification.
Excellent industry-level skills such as how to consult with a client, promote barbering products and how to achieve the latest looks with cutting techniques. This qualification has been specifically designed to develop your practical skills in; the creative art of cutting men's hair, the specialist work of cutting facial hair, how to provide effective shampooing and conditioning or styling services and how to offer a good consultation service for clients. The purpose of this qualification is to develop your practical skills to a high level of occupational ability to enable you to perform your own salon services.
To train in our purpose-built salons which are open to the public, and to have the opportunity to work on reception enhancing your work-based skills in customer service, product promotion and retail sales.

Dan Blackwell Barber CliqueAfter 11 years working in industry, Dan decided on a career change and joined the Barbering Diploma Level 2. During his studies the head barber of Clique came into the College to do a demonstration, he saw the way Dan cut hair and told him to speak to the owners about getting a job. Dan did just that and is now one of their in-house barbers.
