To ensure you gain all the skills needed for a career in the barbering industry, you will need to start your studies at Level 2. On successful completion you can go into employment or continue your studies at Level 3.

Throughout your studies you will learn by completing practical activities and assessments based on professional real-life scenarios in our Koko commercial training salons. You’ll get the chance to take part in competitions, fashion shows and get some masterclass insights from visiting professionals.

Barbering Diploma Level 2.
Expand on the techniques already developed in Level 2 and increase your knowledge and experience. You will learn advanced design, how to create patterns, provide shaving and facial massage services and creative fashion-led cutting techniques.
To be continually assessed throughout your course through practical assignments and examinations.

Traci French Team Lead - Hairdressing
Traci has over 25 years' experience working in the hair and beauty industry, working in Bristol and Truro as a stylist, senior stylist and salon manager. Traci now leads the hairdressing lecturing team at Cornwall College and also manages the commercial training salon, koko, at Cornwall College in Pool.
