The increasing demand to have professionally-finished nails has seen nail boutiques become commonplace in towns and cities over recent years. Having a nail treatment is no longer reserved for special occasions, with clients wanting attractive hands all year round and, with an increasing number of techniques and products on the market, being a nail technician offers a real chance to show off your artistic talent and earn a living. Performing a makeover on a client’s nails will not only give you job satisfaction, it will also make your client’s day and this course is designed to equip you with all the essential skills you need to start practicing as a technician.
To ensure you gain all the skills needed for a career as a nail technician, you will need to start your studies at Level 2. On successful completion you can go into employment or continue your studies at Level 3.

You're new to the beauty industry and wanting to become a nail technician in a nail bar or beauty salon.
GCSE English and maths at grade 3, or an equivalent qualification.
In our industry standard salons, which are open to the public, you will learn the basics of nail care, alongside more advanced techniques including manicures, pedicures, nail art
and extensions. You will complete a total of seven units and
all practical assessments will be carried out in the industry
standard nail bar. Knowledge will be tested through an
external exam. Regular tutorials and demonstrations from
teaching sta will help reinforce your knowledge, giving you
the con‑dence to practice in paid employment.
You will also have the opportunity to develop your work-based
skills treating clients in our fully equipped salons.
