three GCSEs at grade C or 4, including English and mathematics, relevant experience or a Hair & Make-up City & Guilds Diploma Level 2.
A variety of techniques to an advanced level, such as special effects and camouflage make-up, applying prosthetic pieces, airbrush make-up, working to client briefs, client care and communication and monitoring health and safety 'on set'.
To be assessed throughout your course. There will also be a practical and theoretical exam.

Employment as a make-up artist working in media and television, photography, retail services within industry or on board cruise liners. You may decide to progress onto advanced professional qualifications at level 4.
