This honours degree final year is designed for people with a strong interest in the environment who would like to develop their scientific skills and knowledge base.
You can progress to this one-year programme once you have successfully completed a science-related foundation degree or equivalent qualification.
As part of this programme you will study core modules in research methods, environmental impact assessment and Geographical Information Systems (GIS).
You will also design and carry out a research project in which you will investigate specific aspects of the environment. In addition to the core modules you choose two optional modules which allow you to specialise in your particular areas of interest.
The programme is assessed by a mixture of coursework, in-class tests and exams.
During your studies you will develop a range of practical and academic skills relevant to working in the environmental sector.
