Working with heavy goods vehicles (HGVs), buses and other large transport requires specialist skills and training. We offer a dedicated apprenticeship programme so you can go on to work with heavy vehicles, trailers and lift trucks, refrigeration lorries or bus fleets.
We offer a full-time initial preparation route (at Level 2 depending on your prior experience and qualifications) as well as this apprenticeship, with a final Level 3 full-time course or apprenticeship available that can take you to supervisory level employment in this sector with companies as diverse as the Fire Service, Volvo and Heathrow Airport.
This two-year course apprenticeship allows you to specialise in heavy vehicle maintenance and repair. You will be working on real vehicles from day one in our training workshops and garages, from a 7.5-tonne flatbed lorry to a 38-tonne tractor unit.
