Our St Austell campus has a renowned reputation for its performing arts courses which enable students to progress to some of the most prestigious performing arts schools and conservatoires in the country. Our facilities are amazing and include The Keay Theatre, professional dance studios, and rehearsal and performance spaces.
If you wish to pursue a career in the performing arts then we offer you the choice of four specialist courses, all of which are equivalent to A-levels. Our Level 2 course is ideal should your GCSE results not be what you expected, with the option to progress to one of our Level 3 diplomas.
If you’re interested in acting but also want to learn about technical aspects including set design, lighting, directing and sound, our level 3 course could be for you. You will develop your physical and vocal skills through a variety of workshops which includes performing in our own theatre productions and other venues like Hall for Cornwall every term.

Four GCSEs at grade 4, including English and mathematics. Some experience of performing arts is also required. Successful selection is also based upon interview and an audition.
To develop your skills through a variety of workshops, leading to a performance every term at exciting regional venues. The course is largely practical and includes training in areas of performing which may include acting for film, television and stage, and directing.
To develop your writing, research and textual analysis skills to support your practical experience. You will also be given responsibility for technical aspects of productions such as costume, set design, lighting, sound, make-up and publicity.
The realistic experience of working as a professional performing artist within a working theatre company.
Employment in the performing arts industry or university study.
