Ideal if:

You have completed a Level 2 course and would like preparation for entry to the Armed Forces.

You’ll need:

4 GCSEs at grade 4 to include English or mathematics or a relevant Level 2 diploma. Entry on to the course is also subject to a fitness assessment, which will enable you to pass selection onto the Armed Forces.

You’ll learn:

From a portfolio based programme of study which includes both academic and practical. There will be opportunities to improve personal fitness levels and stamina, and to participate in military skills such as living in the field, camouflage, concealment and survival skills training. Core units include: prepare for employment in a chosen military service, develop aspects of physical fitness for entry to the uniformed services, develop leadership skills, understand conflict management and personal protection, participate in uniformed service routine, carry out map reading and navigation across open country, explore the use of telecommunications in the uniformed services and understand planning for emergency situations in the uniformed services.


To gain a wide variety of skills and knowledge; including team working and leadership skills, problem solving and navigation.

You’ll love:

Working at HMS Raleigh, RNAS Culdrose and RAF St Mawgan. You will also experience a three day survival school and two five day residential military exercises.

You’ll go on to:
