This is an adult only Level 3 academic course that will give students an underpinning knowledge in academic subject areas relevant to radiography.
Successful completion of the course will enable progression onto a degree in Diagnostic Radiography. Unlike A levels it is a predominantly coursework-based qualification run over three short days a week.

You are over the age of 19, have an interest in science and would like to gain an appropriate Level 3 qualification to progress to university.
This course will also be suitable if you have been out of education for some time and would like to improve your academic skills to prepare for university study.
GCSE English, maths and science at grade C/4 or above, or be prepared to study one of these alongside your access to HE course.
Work experience in radiography is not essential but it is advised that students spend some time in a healthcare setting to gain relevant transferable skills. This can improve your chances of securing a place of university.
This diploma will comprise of a carefully chosen combination of units in human biology, physics and relevant HE study skills including maths. Sessions are taught by subject specialists and there will be opportunities to undertake practical work.
To attend three days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday) between 9.30am -3.00pm. The course is assessed continuously, with success not being dependent on final exams.

You will be supported for the duration of the course by a dedicated team of Access to HE staff.
