The course is for those who have a genuine commitment to work with and study animals. Students get first-hand experience of handling and observing animals in captivity and natural habitats. You need to be enthusiastic and committed to hard work, especially during the less glamorous aspects of the course.

You have a passion for working with pet animals in one of the related pet services industry such as kennels and pet shops.
An Animal Management Advanced Technical Diploma, plus five GCSEs at grade C or 5, including science, English or mathematics, or an equivalent qualification and a suitable reference.
From a broad range of subjects such as kennel and cattery management, pet store design and management, pet allied services.
Your assignments and projects to be assessed throughout the course as well as externally set exams.
The opportunity to focus on the pet industry and animal husbandry.You’ll also have the opportunity to broaden your horizons with a life changing trip to Africa.
Employment or university study such as our FdSc Animal Husbandry & Welfare or FdSc Animal Behaviour & Psychology.
