What is Hooper’s?

Hooper’s is a fun dog sport that is ideal for dogs and owners of all ages and fitness levels.

Dogs navigate a course of hoops, barrels and tunnels with the same pace and excitement as agility.
But the courses are flowing and don’t involve tight turns – making it accessible for everyone!
Hooper’s is focused on the ability of dog and owner to work together as a smooth-flowing team so it is a great bonding activity too.

  What You Will Learn

Everyone is welcome (even without a dog)

We also have time for theory/conversation/socialising at breaktime in our café where teas, coffees and cakes can be purchased.

This course will provide you with a basic introduction into horse-husbandry and care. This will link directly to the British Horse Society Career Pathway assessments at Stage one. If your GCSEs were not what you expected, this course is an ideal starting point in order to progress onto Level 2. You will learn the basic skills and knowledge associated with animal care working with a wide range of animals including: feeding, cleaning and exercising and general care. Our campuses are also home to a large variety of animals which include bearded dragons, snakes, pigs, tortoises, rats, rabbits, donkeys, poultry and cattle. Caring for animals can be an extremely fulfilling and rewarding career. From working in kennels and catteries to pet shops, rescue centres or sanctuaries, there is a wide range of careers available on successful completion of your course. With access to animal collections on campus you will gain the practical training you need to pursue a career in this exciting industry.

Certificate for Dog Grooming Assistants

This Level 2 City and Guilds Certificate course is for adult learners wishing to gain basic skills in dog grooming and bathing, in preparation for the Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming. It will not give you the qualifications required to work as a professional groomer, but it will give you the experience and skills necessary to progress to Level 3. *Fees apply, please discuss course cost at interview.
