If you are interested in specialising in traditional flower arrangements, and want to use your creativity to learn how to create beautiful simple designs this is the perfect course for you.

You’ll learn:


Different techniques and designs used within the industry, you will be able to work on small and large scale designs whist creating a range of designs that will go towards a final portfolio.

  What You Will Learn

On the first day students will need to bring some scissors / secateurs if they have any. Students will need an apron, closed toed shoes and a mask.

  Assessment

Some formative and summative assessments will take place throughout the course culminating in a final portfolio.

Hosted by Plotgate Community Farm in Barton St David, Somerset over two days 10am-2pm, this course will help you to get the best from your vegetable garden with a plan for the 2022 season and to follow through years to come. We’ll guide you in working out how to fit in your favourite and best value vegetables for fresh produce all year round, while making the best use of your time and effort in whatever growing space you have. By making a cropping plan you’ll be able to organize your pesticide-free veg growing and minimize weed problems, while building your soil’s fertility and structure with organic materials. What to bring: Some details about your garden or allotment (or one you’d like to have) if possible, such as its size, location, and aspect.
