If you’ve always had passion for passing on your knowledge and skills to others, and have your sights set on becoming a teacher or trainer, then this is the course for you and could be your first step to a career teaching in Further Education.
This is a part time course, so you can fit it around other commitments and the groups consist of other like-minded adults, wanting to see if teaching could be their next step. As an introductory programme, you will learn about the roles and responsibilities of teachers, how to teach in an inclusive way and you will plan and deliver a short teaching session, on a topic of your choice to the rest of the class. You will be involved in a mixture of practical activities and group tasks as well as covering some background theory about teaching and learning.
Best of all, as adults you will learn from each other and share experiences. Even if you haven’t been in a classroom for a long time, you’ll find a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, with tutors committed to helping you enjoy and succeed during your time with us.
Each of you brings something unique and special, that’s what makes this course hugely rewarding and interesting.
You will be learning from experienced teachers, giving you the best possible start to a career if you decide to follow this path.
