Agriculture Apprenticeship

Bicton College | Duchy College Bicton | Rosewarne | Stoke Climsland LEVEL: 3 Agriculture & Countryside Management

This Level 3 advanced apprenticeship, is an ideal progression from the initial Level 2 programme and will allow you to gain skills to work in a junior supervisory role within the sector. You must have relevant employment within the agriculture sector to complete this qualification. If you need help to find an employer, please get in touch.

Ideal if:

You have already successfully completed a relevant Level 2 qualification, or have appropriate employment and expertise.

Entry Requirements:

A previous Level 2 qualification in agriculture or five GCSEs at grade C or 5, including English and maths.

What You Will Learn:

To develop your agricultural abilities and advance your knowledge and understanding of practices relating to livestock and crop production.

Expect:

To work with your employer for most of the week, attending college for a minimum of 18 days in year one and 9 days in year two. You’ll also work towards a Level 2 functional skills qualification in English and mathematics.

Progression:

Improve your promotion prospects or progress to an Agriculture Technical Extended Diploma Level 3, an Agricultural Business Management Diploma Level 4 or to university study such as our FdSc Agriculture.

Robb Dunn Head of Land-based & Food Studies

Food and farming expert Rob Dunn has recently joined the leadership team for Duchy and Bicton College had has taken on the role of curriculum lead, overseeing education provision across the region and projects such as the new Future Farm scheme; the £10 million creation of a new skills centre, dairy unit and pioneering research centre at Duchy College Stoke Climsland. Rob has worked at a number of land-based colleges around the UK. Rob also presents a weekly farming show for a Cornish radio station and is a judge for the British Farming Awards.
