A horse care apprenticeship is the ideal way to earn money whilst gaining a nationally recognised qualification. The provision is open to anyone aged 16+ years provided that you meet current eligibility. You must be fully employed in your chosen career path and hold a genuine interest in your area of work, demonstrating enthusiasm and a strong determination to succeed.
You are employed in the horse care industry and would like to gain a nationally recognised qualification.
Four GCSEs at grade D or 3, your application will also include a literacy and numeracy test.
About supervision, riding and exercising, feeding and welfare, maintaining effective working relationships, health and safety with horses, emergency first aid and employment rights and responsibilities.
To spend one day every two weeks during term time in college and the rest of the week at your workplace. You’ll also work towards a Level 2 functional skills qualification in English and mathematics.
Earning money whilst gaining a nationally recognised qualification.
Work in the industry using your practical skills or progress on to our Horse Care Apprenticeship Level 3, or further education opportunities.
