Zoo Animal Care Certificate

Duchy College Stoke Climsland LEVEL: 1 Wildlife Conservation & Zoology

We’ve all been on a day out at the zoo and seen the vast number of animals on display, but zoos are no longer simply collections of animals for people to visit, they play a vital role in carrying out conservation work. Captive breeding programmes, protecting endangered species, and inspiring the next generation to care and protect these animals, are all essential tasks zoos carry out on a day to day basis and you could play a vital role in this important work.

Learn the basic skills to start a career working with animals, with the possibility of progression to Level 2.
