This is a collaborative project led by Creative Skills. For Cornwall College the project will support the costs of a Learning Company Manager who will have extensive experience of working in/providing business support to the Creative sector. The Manager will build upon this experience to work with Creative businesses across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly to look at how they could  develop, progress or grow. The Learning Company Manager will help the business scope and shape a project to support this growth and development, but which requires either additional capacity or skills, not currently available within the company, to deliver the project.

The Learning Company Manager will work closely with the Learning Company Facilitator who will be responsible for identifying work ready students that would benefit from an internship and who would add value to the company through the project. The student and Company will be supported by the Learning Company Manager and Facilitator to ensure that the project stays on track, meets the needs of the company, is of high quality and that the experience is positive for both the Creative company and the student.

The project will also fund the tailoring of existing curriculum and creation of new content to equip the students and apprentices with the skills required to meet the needs of the SMEs.
