A position has become available for a Full time Animal Management Technician to help in the care and maintenance of animal-based resources at the Animal Husbandry School at Bicton College. This state-of-the-art facility provides an outstanding teaching environment for our Animal Management learners. It houses a wide range of animals, including small mammals, exotic species, fish, birds, reptiles, primates, meerkats, skunks, poultry and larger farm animals, so knowledge and experience of caring for a range of species will be essential to the role.
The post holder will also be required to assist staff with the supervision of students of a range of ages and abilities during practical sessions and will work closely with the Animal Management team. Applicants must have a good level of experience of working with animals and must have completed at least a Level 3 in Animal Care/Management (or an equivalent qualification). A full, clean driving licence and own transport are also essential.
