A college in Cornwall will find out this month if it can boast the best college restaurant in the UK.
Having successfully made it through to the final of the AA College Restaurant of the Year competition, Trevenson restaurant, based at Cornwall College Camborne, will find out if it is the overall winner at the prestigious AA awards evening in London.
Clyde Connellan, Chef Lecturer, Cornwall College Camborne, will be representing the College at the awards, and said making it to the finals was testament to the hard work of staff and students.
“Cornwall College is recognised as the best catering college in the South West, boasting three People 1st Centre of Excellence awards and holder of two AA College Rosettes for both its training restaurants Trevenson and Cloisters in St Austell,” he explained.
“Everyone at the College is extremely passionate about the catering and hospitality industries, and the career opportunities that they offer to all our students.”
This year marks the 110th year of AA Hotel & Hospitality Services. Its annual black tie AA Hospitality Awards event is attended by more than 1,000 key industry guests including world-renowned chefs, prominent hoteliers, restaurateurs, hospitality gurus and key media.
