Cornwall College Saltash event

Cornwall College Saltash will be playing host to prospective students this Saturday between 10 and 12; opening up the campus to give them a chance to explore the options available and to get advice for their future career

Advisors will be on hand to offer a range of information on all aspects of college life including the range of courses, study programme, transport, learning support, Cornwall College Students’ Union and sporting activities.

Boasting industry-standard training facilities including hair and beauty salons, a state-of-the-art training kitchen, construction skills training centre and higher education building, the College is able to give students all the experience and skills necessary for their future career.

Head of College, Margaret Butfield, said: “I would advise those looking into their options for further study next September to come to our event and find out more. It is a great chance to take a look around, meet staff and current students.”

Courses start at entry-level with progression routes up to degree-level study. Options to study on full and part-time courses as well as NVQ and Apprenticeship qualifications are available.

Margaret continued: “Although students now have to stay in education until they are 18 it does not necessarily mean at school 6th form. They have the choice of a college course or apprenticeship and this event will help them with that decision making process. We are looking forward to welcoming potential students and their families into our campus this Saturday.”
