Duchy College will be playing host to prospective students on Thursday 11th May  between 5pm and 7.30pm; opening up the campus to give them a chance to explore the options available and to get advice for their future career.

Advisors will be on hand to offer a range of information on all aspects of college life including the range of courses, study programme, transport, accommodation and student services.

The course offering at Stoke Climsland is huge and includes agriculture, animal management, childcare, construction plant, equine, gamekeeping, military academy, outdoor adventure, public services and sport. The College is able to give students all the experience and skills necessary for their future career, according to Head of College, Rob Dunn.

“I would advise those looking into their options for further study in September to come to our event and find out more. It is a great chance to take a look around, meet the staff and current students,” he said.

Courses start at entry-level with progression routes up to postgraduate level study. Options to study on full- and part-time courses as well as Apprenticeships are available.

Rob continued: “Although students now have to stay in education until they are 18, it does not necessarily mean at school 6th form.  They have the choice of a college course or apprenticeship and this event will help them with that decision making process. We are looking forward to welcoming potential students and their families onto our campus on the 11th.”
