Students in Cornwall and Devon, and those looking to return to education to realise their dream careers, are getting the opportunity to explore the incredible facilities and wide range of courses on their doorstep.
Cornwall College Saltash is opening its doors to prospective students on Saturday 18th March between 10 and 12, where everyone is welcome to explore the campus and ask questions about their career options.
Head of College, Margaret Butfield, said the event would be the “perfect opportunity for people to learn about the many ways in which they can achieve their goals”.
“Although students now have to stay in education until they are 18, it does not necessarily mean they have to do so at a school 6th form,” she continued.
“They have the choice of a college course or apprenticeship and this event will help them with that decision making process. Cornwall College Saltash boasts industry-standard training facilities includng hair and beauty salons, a state-of-the-art training kitchen, construction skills training centre and a dedicated higher education building, which means we can provide our students with all the experiences and skills necessary for excelling in their future careers. ”
The College also offers a wide range of course types and progression routes, starting at entry-level and continuing right up to degree-level study.
There are also numerous options to study on full- and part-time courses as well as NVQ and Apprenticeship qualifications.
“I would advise those looking into their options for further study this September to come to our event and find out more,” Margaret continued.
“Friendly and knowledgeable advisors will be on hand to offer insights on all aspects of college life including courses, study programmes, transport, learning support, Cornwall College’s excellent Students’ Union and numerous sporting activities.”
