Anyone looking for some creative inspiration can now benefit from a series of free art and design sessions, covering disciplines like ceramics, printmaking and graphic design.
The workshops which will be hosted by Cornwall College in Camborne, will explore different areas of art creativity; giving participants a practical, fun and intuitive experience.
Starting on Friday 1st March, all sessions will run on consecutive Friday afternoons and will even include refreshments.
Jamie Hanson, HE Team Lead, Art and Design Cornwall College Camborne said, “These workshops provide a great way for people to try new subject areas in our dedicated studio spaces.
“Those who attend will learn from some successful artists, be able to develop new skills or enhance existing ones and get to try additional disciplines completely free of charge”.
Cornwall College who run a wide range of both FE and university art and design courses, are the only education provider in Cornwall to offer a multi-disciplinary course including plaster, ceramics, graphic design and printmaking.
Something which according to Suzy Sharpe, lecturer says, “Is very attractive to mature students as they get to experience all the major art subjects on one course, which they may not have had the opportunity to do at school”.
Jamie concluded, “These sessions are available to over 18’s only due to ESF funding criteria, anyone who is interested in or thinking about studying art will really value the content of these sessions.
“They all give a great insight into what each area is about and people can pick and choose the sessions they want to attend”.
