Building on the success of the Winter Lights performance from last year, the Acting, Dance and Music students of Cornwall College St Austell will be putting on a show that is bigger than ever. The performing arts extravaganza will take place at The Keay Theatre on Wednesday 14th December 2016 at 7pm.
Team Lead for Performing Arts, Jess Leonard said: “I’m always very excited about the Winter Lights performance, as it is really collaborative event in which all of our disciplines within the Performing Arts get to perform what they’ve been working on for the first term. The atmosphere is always a brilliant one and the students really enjoy sharing the stage with each other. I’m excited to see what treasures the students produce this year.”
The Winter Lights Performance is set to be a fantastic event that will showcase an arrangement of emerging and established talent from the St Austell area. There will also be a number of surprise special guests, all of whom are being kept a secret until closer to the date.
2nd year Extended Diploma Dancer and Dance Captain, Jack Sibley, said: “I love the Winter Lights show. Not only is it the big send off before a well-deserved Christmas break, but it’s also a chance to see what the Actors and Musicians have been up to whilst we’ve been focussed in our dance world.
“I also love sharing our work to an audience with a real festive spirit! Even though the work isn’t all Christmas related, everyone is in such good spirits and we all celebrate each other. I love every minute of it!”
Wednesday 14th December 2016 at 7pm and performed at The Keay Theatre, tickets (£5/£3) can be bought from box office 01726 226 454 or limited tickets on the door (cash please).
