A final end of term dance performance is to be held at the Keay Theatre at Cornwall College St Austell.
‘Triptych’ is an exciting dance show that explores themes around feminism and will be held on Thursday 20th June.
Dance Lecturer Rose Kimberly explained that this is the final major project for the students studying on the UAL Dance Diploma at Cornwall College.
“A ‘Triptych’ is a piece of art in three parts, therefore the three choreographers have each created a section of an extended three part dance work,” she said.
The three choreographers have been working around the same theme, but drawing on different inspirations and stimuli
Lead for Performing Arts and one of the three choreographers, Jess Leonard, said how proud she was of the dancers.
“The students have been building up to this final piece all this term and are extremely excited to share their hard work with their family, friends and the general public,” she added.
The show will also contain performances from visiting schools, Newquay Tretherras and Penrice, which Cornwall College’s dancers have recently been work-shopping with.
The ‘Triptych’ performance is on Thursday 20th June at 7PM. Tickets (£6/4) can be bought through the college Box Office 01726 226 454 or cash on the door.
